- To Maintain ComposurePosted on: 2011-01-26To Maintain Composure
He who restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. Proverbs 17:27
Conflicts arise between neighbors, work associates, friends. How you handle these crises is important. Your tendency could be to blow up immediately and to scream and yell. Rarely will this do anything to solve the problem; in fact, it may drive the wedge deeper and encourage retaliation. Listen before you speak. Keep your cool. When both parties keep calm, even - tempered attitude, you are able to resolve differences and come up with an equitable solution.
Hot tempers cause arguments, but patience brings peace. Proverbs 15:18
A tart temper never mellows with age, and a sharp tongue is the only edged tool that grows keener with constant use. Washington Irving
